The future site of the Redding Tai Chi Meditation Garden is beginning to take shape.

The City of Redding Parks Department has started clearing the compost debris and trimming trees at the site. Much of the material has now been moved to the back of the lot, giving us a much better view of the area where the garden will eventually be built.

The white fence on the right is temporary. It encloses approximately 200 goats that are spending their days grazing on the grasses in the area, helping to reduce the fire hazard.

There is also some important progress on the project itself. We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the City, and it is now at the City Clerk’s office for the final signature. Once the MOU is fully executed, we will be able to move forward with construction.
